This is me enjoying the blink of sunlight we got upon our arrival to Koh Samui hours agoRain usually calms me. In fact, it brings me back to some of the most pleasant memories I return to any time I feel uneasy about harsh weathers. I think of college days when I used to stay in reading a good book complimented with hot chai tea lattes or when Bryan would come over to keep me company. However, this rainy day is experienced on a beach and rain and beaches don't mix in my book. I'm always under the assumption that harsh weathers are set on designed paths by Mother Nature to ensure beach enthusiasts the best experience possible. Not in this case. We're spending the day at this bar with electro music and occassional cover songs playing observing white men woo Thai women and other travelers. I suppose I'll take this time to write a little bit of my statement of purpose for grad school. Blah.
Gosh. When will the rain stop?
We're planning on heading westward, trying to catch the sun over in Koh Phi Phi and Krabi. I hope we're not following this storm.
