Sydney Frolicking

The skies opened up on Wednesday and uncovered the most beautiful blue skies with a sprinkle of cumulus clouds, perfect compliments for photo ops. For the past few days, Lara and I have been hibernating indoors since there have been sporadic showers since Boxing Day (which is basically a day dedicated to packing up all holiday paraphernalia into well, a box—but also another excuse to have holiday sales). And although it is summer here in Australia, the effects of global warming has made it’s mark here as this has started off as a rather “cold” summer.

We’ve recently reunited with our friends Patricia, Brian and Anthony here in Sydney and sprawled throughout the city, finding places to explore. We decided to explore the essence of Sydney, the Sydney Harbor where we were able to see the stunning, Sydney Opera house (which surprisingly made it on UNESCO’s world heritage list) and the Harbor Bridge.

Here are a few pictures of our afternoon:

a tribute to Isara!

It’s refreshing to see these sights in a new light—and not to mention, new lenses, literally. I love that now I have proper camera equipment to capture these beautiful things—the only downside is the weight it comes with. I wish camera lenses were a little lighter, but I guess it what I must endure in order to capture these spectacular sights and every moment of this adventure.

I remember being here 2 years ago with the EAP Australia and totally excited to be in another country, thrilled to be on my own and free. It was an exhilarating feeling to witness and live in another part of the world. Of course, in that mindset I was also excited to drink legally and go to clubs. Times have changed, seriously. I think these days, I'm better off at home or indoors where I won't be causing trouble or being irresponsible, or better yet lending the bartender my credit card. -___-

With that being said, here are more pictures of our afternoon:

My one goal that day was to find Chips (fries/wedges, whatever) with sour cream & sweet chili dip, they didn't have sour cream so instead, they had cream cheese. Still dee-lish. This was my favorite bar snack when I was here 2 years ago.

More updates to come!
