On Friday, Lara and I decided to shake up our lesson by playing Twister! We made the Twister mat with some inexpensive fabric and cut out circles in 4 different colors. The concept of direction was the focus of our lesson and body parts-- this will also potentially lead into the game, "Simon Says" hopefully sometime. Groups were separated since there wouldn't be enough room for all of our students to play at once (oh, gosh... I can't imagine what kind of disaster would happen with all of them on it!). When we gave an example the kids were a bit confused as to what they should be doing exactly, but once they got onto that mat, they figured it out... kinda. They didn't know whether to keep their hands and/or feet where they already landed or to move to a completely new dot... haha. Despite the confusion, they had a fun time playing!
