Goals

A few weeks before I really started to prepare for this trip, I spent a few hours writing down lists. Not only did these lists compose of what to bring and possible sights and countries we hope to see, but I made sure to jot down a list of goals I hope to achieve by the end of my time traveling. I sat in the waiting room of a clinic (made sure to schedule an appt to see the doctor before I left!) contemplating about what was important to me and how I could improve myself, internally. I also thought about the things that I would love to learn as well. After waiting for half an hour, I found myself with a list of 15 things things.

Goals for this trip:
  1. Live in the moment
  2. Learn to enjoy spicy foods while in Thailand (even learn how to cook some Thai dishes)
  3. Learn to ride a bike
  4. Make wise decisions when spending money-- sometimes being frugal won't always win in certain situations.
  5. Create meaningful relationships with people who inspire you. Networking will also become very helpful.
  6. Meditate and do yoga regularly
  7. Fast at least twice a month
  8. Continue to work on minimalism
  9. Take some notable pictures for aesthetic's and memory's sake
  10. Step outside of physical boundaries
  11. Learn to be patient
  12. Learn the fundamentals of the languages in the countries you visit
  13. Make a positive impact
  14. Document your experience frequently
  15. Be happy
It's only been a week since we've been here and I can say that a few are already pending! Ming, one of the founders here was teaching me how to ride a bike (I had a different childhood, okay?)

This is an embarrassing photo, but that's okay.

I hope that by the end of this trip, I can look back and check off each and every one of these goals. Let's go!
